Can you introduce yourself in a few sentences?
My name is Erifili, I’m a 24 year old entrepreneur, author [SC says: pre-order Eri’s book here!], and social media strategist specializing in Gen Z. My passion lies in the future of work space, specifically in helping my generation recognize and access the countless unconventional career opportunities available to us right now, allowing us to build careers offering flexibility and freedom.
What do you do for work?
I’m the Founder and CEO of The Z Link, a leading social media and market research agency that helps brands connect with Gen Z. We’ve worked with brands such as the UN, Deloitte, IKEA, and Hearst. We’re based across 12 countries and love creative strategy for all-things social media!
How did you get to where you are today?
Probably a mix of optimism and curiosity. I think the combination of these two traits makes you a self-starter, and when you’re able to take action without overthinking everything, it can push your career forward faster and lead you to wonderful opportunities and connections.
What does living a good life mean to you?
To me, a good life means not being in a rush. The luxury to have slow mornings, spend time with people I love, choose how I spend my time and fill my life with enjoyable moments. Freedom and flexibility are key goals for me; that’s why entrepreneurship has been so important in my life, it allows me to access that and enjoy my everyday life!
What’s something you wish you’d known 5 years ago?
You need to define and understand what success means to you. It’s not necessarily always pushing for more and more, reaching the next milestone; sometimes simply being in a place where you’re able to enjoy every day feels a lot more fulfilling.
Who’s someone you look up to?
I look up the most to my friends and the people closest to me. I’m inspired by their drive, kindness, and growth.
What’s the best life lesson you’ve learnt?
You have to go out there and get things done, it’s an underrated skill.
What do you dream about?
Honestly, going somewhere in the mountains and just writing and reading a lot.
What is one thing you recommend?
Journaling… I’ll never stop recommending it as a tool to get to know yourself a lot better (and isn’t that always a good thing?)
What song would be the soundtrack to your life?
Last Train to London by ELO
